Reddit is a large online platform for community discussions and content sharing. Integrating Reddit with Make.com allows users to automate post submissions, monitor subreddit activity, and manage comments directly from their workflows.
Requirements
To use the reddit app in Make, you must have an active Reddit account and register a developer application to obtain OAuth credentials, create your account on reddit. For subscription, refer to the reddit pricing page.
Due to Reddit changes for API ecosystem access, we need to temporarily un-publish Reddit integration and modules from Make. Existing scenarios are not impacted.
Connect reddit and Make
Due to Reddit changes for API ecosystem access, we need to enforce mandatory user credentials for the connection creation process. Reddit require manual approval before you can create new apps. Review Reddit's Responsible Builder Policy and submit a request via Reddit's Developer Support form.
To get started, you must first create a connection between reddit and Make, allowing the two services to communicate.
To create the connection, you need to:
Obtain your client credentials
Before you create the connection in Make, you should first obtain your client ID and client secret.
To obtain the client credentials in reddit:
Navigate to the application preferences page by selecting Preferences and then Apps.
Click the Create App or Create Another App button.
Enter your application name, description, and other required information.
Enter the callback URI: https://www.integromat.com/oauth/cb/reddit
Click the Create app button to register the application.
Copy the Client ID displayed above your application details.
Copy the Client secret displayed under your application details.
You'll use these values in the Client ID and Client Secret connection fields in Make.
Create the connection in Make
Once you have your reddit client credentials, you're ready to create the connection in Make.
To create the connection:
Log in to your Make account, add a reddit module to your scenario, and click Create a connection.
If you add a module with an instant tag, click Create a webhook, then Create a connection.
Optional: In the Connection name field, enter a name for the connection.
In the Client ID and Client Secret fields, enter the values you copied from your reddit account.
Click Save.
If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access.
You've successfully created the connection and can now use the reddit app in your scenarios. If you want to make changes to your connection in the future, follow the steps here.
