To use the Vonage app in , you must have a paid Vonage account. For subscription information, refer to the Vonage pricing page.
To get started, you must first create a connection between Vonage and , allowing the two services to communicate.
To create the connection, you need to:
Before you create the connection in , you should first obtain an API key and API secret in your Vonage account.
To obtain the API key and API secret:
Log in to your Vonage Communications API dashboard.

Copy the API Key and API Secret values and store them in a safe place.
You'll use these values in the API Key and API Secret connection fields in .
To obtain the application ID and private key:
In the left sidebar, click Applications under Build.
Click Create a new application.
Enter a name for the application.
In the Authentication section, click Generate public and private key. Your private key will be downloaded to your device in the .key format.

Click Generate new application.
Copy the Application ID value and store it in a safe place.
You'll use this value and the file in the Application ID and Private Key (RSA) connection fields in .
Once you have your Vonage credentials, you're ready to create the connection in .
To create the connection:
Log in to your account, add a Vonage module to your , and click Create a connection.
Optional: In the Connection name field, enter a name for the connection.
In the Application ID field, enter the Application ID value you copied from your Vonage account.
In the Private Key (RSA) field, click Extract and do the following:
- In the Extract field, select Private Key.
- In the P12, PFX or PEM file field, click Choose File and select the file that was downloaded to your device in the .key format.
In the API Key and API Secret fields, enter the values copied from your Vonage dashboard.
Click Save.
If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access.
You've successfully created the connection and can now use the Vonage app in your . If you want to make changes to your connection in the future, follow the steps here.
The Vonage app has instant modules—webhooks that watch for certain changes in Vonage and immediately start your when those changes happen. To use these modules, you must set up the webhook in your Vonage account.
To set up the webhook:
Add a Vonage instant module to your and click Create a webhook.
Optional: Enter a name for the webhook in the Webhook name field.
Click Save > Copy address to clipboard. You'll paste this address in your Vonage account.
Log in to your Vonage Communications API dashboard.
In the left sidebar, click Applications.
Click on the name of the app you created.
In the Capabilities section, switch on the capabilities that you want to use with this application. You can add and remove capabilities at any time.
Paste the webhook URL to the related Event URL field.
Click Save.
Your webhook is now set up. When the selected change occurs in Vonage, will immediately be notified and start your .
