UiPath
With UiPath modules in Make, you can manage the jobs and queues in your UiPath account.
The UiPath app is available on the Make Enterprise plan.
Requirements
To use the UiPath app in Make, you must have a UiPath account.
Connect UiPath and Make
To get started, you must first create a connection between UiPath and Make, allowing the two services to communicate.
To create the connection, you need to:
Obtain your client credentials in UiPath
Before you create the connection in Make, you should first obtain client credentials in your UiPath account.
To obtain the client credentials:
Log in to your UiPath account.
In the upper left corner, click the Product launcher icon > Admin.
Click External applications > + Add application.
Enter an application name.
Click + Add scopes.
In the Resource field, select Orchestrator API Access.
Switch to Application scope(s) tab and add the following scopes:
- OR.Robots.Read
- OR.Queues
- OR.Jobs
- OR.Execution.Read
- OR.Folders.Read
- OR.Settings.Read
Click Save.
Leave the Redirect URL field empty and click Add.
Copy the App ID and App Secret values and store them in a safe place.
You'll use these values in the Client ID and Client Secret connection fields in Make.
Obtain your tenant name in UiPath
To obtain the Tenant name:
Log in to your UiPath account.
In the upper left, click the Product launcher icon > Admin.
In the left sidebar, click on the name of the tenant.
Click Settings.
Copy the Name value and store it in a safe place.
You'll use this value in the UiPath Tenant Name connection field in Make.
Create the connection in Make
Once you have your UiPath credentials, you're ready to create the connection in Make.
To create the connection:
Log in to your Make account, add a UiPath module to your scenario, and click Create a connection.
In the Connection type field, select UiPath Cloud (Client Credentials).
Optional: In the Connection name field, enter a name for the connection.
In the UiPath Organisation ID field, enter your organization's ID.
You can obtain your organization ID by going to your UiPath Home and checking the URL. For example: https://cloud.uipath.com/{organization_id}/portal_/home
In the UiPath Tenant Name field, enter the tenant name copied from your UiPath account.
In the Client ID and Client Secret fields, enter the client credentials copied from your UiPath account.
Optional: In the Additional Scopes field, enter the required scopes for the Make an API Call module. For details, see the UiPath API Documentation. Add scopes for every API call you will make with this connection.
Optional: Switch on Show advanced settings and add whitelisted scopes.
If you use the Whitelisted Scopes field, only the scopes included here will be requested. Leave this empty to allow all scopes. If the value is not empty, OR.Settings or OR.Settings.Read is required, based on the UiPath OAuth app settings. Misconfiguration of this list might lead to malfunction of this integration.
Click Save.
If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access.
You've successfully created the connection and can now use the UiPath app in your scenarios. If you want to make changes to your connection in the future, follow the steps here.
