TypeSafe is a decision API that evaluates a state against typed questions and returns calibrated, structured answers with probabilities and confidence. With the **TypeSafe **app in Make, you can evaluate content and make custom API calls in your TypeSafe account.

# Requirements

To use the **TypeSafe **app in Make, you must have a [TypeSafe account](https://console.typesafe.ai).

# Connect TypeSafe and Make

To get started, you must first create a connection between TypeSafe and Make, allowing the two services to communicate.

To create the connection:

Obtain an API key in your TypeSafe account.

## Obtain your API key in TypeSafe

Before you create the connection in Make, obtain an API key in your TypeSafe account.

To obtain the API key:

Log in to your TypeSafe account.

Go to the [API keys page](https://console.typesafe.ai/keys) and create an API key.

Copy the **API key** value and store it in a safe place.

Use this value in the **API key** connection field in Make.

## Create the connection in Make

Once you have your TypeSafe API key, you're ready to create the connection in Make.

To create the connection:

Log in to your Make account, add a TypeSafe module to your scenario, and click **Create a connection**.

Optional: In the **Connection name** field, enter a name for the connection.

In the **API key** field, enter the API key you copied from your TypeSafe account.

Click **Save**.
