To use the SAP SuccessFactors app in , you must have a paid SAP SuccessFactors account. For subscription information, refer to the SAP SuccessFactors pricing page.
To get started, you must first create a connection between SAP SuccessFactors and , allowing the two services to communicate.
To create the connection, you need to:
Before you create the connection in , you should first obtain a user ID in your SAP SuccessFactors account.
To obtain the user ID:
Log in to your SAP SuccessFactors account.
In the top right corner, click your Profile icon > Public Profile.
Copy the user ID value next to your name and store it in a safe place.
You'll use this value in the User ID connection field in .
To obtain the company ID:
In the top right corner, click your Profile icon > Show version information.
Copy the Company ID and store it in a safe place.
You'll use this value in the Company ID connection field in .
To obtain the API key:
Go to Admin Center.
In the Tools section, search for Manage OAuth2 Client Applications and select it.

Click Register Client Application and enter the required information for the new application. For detailed information, refer to Registering New Client Application in SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting.
After you click Generate X.509 Certificate > Generate, you must download the full X.509 certificate PEM file. To download the certificate PEM file, click Download and save the PEM file. The PEM file includes the private key.
Copy the API Key value and store it in a safe place.
You'll use this value and the file in the API Key and Private key connection fields in .
Once you have your SAP SuccessFactors credentials, you're ready to create the connection in .
To create the connection:
Log in to your account, add a SAP SuccessFactors module to your , and click Create a connection.
Optional: In the Connection name field, enter a name for the connection.
In the Host field, enter the full SAP SuccessFactors API URL. For more information about the SAP SuccessFactors API Servers, refer to the SAP SuccessFactors API Reference Guide.
In the Server migrated to UTC field, select whether your SAP SuccessFactors instance has been migrated to UTC time.
In the User ID field, enter your user ID copied from your SAP SuccessFactors public profile.
In the Company ID field, enter your company ID copied from your SAP SuccessFactors account.
In the API key field, enter your API key copied from your SAP SuccessFactors application page.
In the Private key field, you need to extract the .pem file that was downloaded to your device after you created your application:
- In the P12, PFX or PEM file field, click Choose File and select the file that was downloaded to your device in the .pem format.
Click Save.
If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access.
Optional: Switch on Show advanced settings, and select whether to force refresh the access token when editing the connection.
You've successfully created the connection and can now use the SAP SuccessFactors app in your . If you want to make changes to your connection in the future, follow the steps here.
