Perplexity AI
With the Perplexity AI app in Make, you can create chat completions in your Perplexity AI account.
Requirements
To use the Perplexity AI app in Make, you must have a Perplexity AI account. To be able to make API calls, you must have credits in your account. For pricing information, refer to the Perplexity AI pricing page.
Connect Perplexity AI and Make
To get started, you must first create a connection between Perplexity AI and Make, allowing the two services to communicate.
To create the connection, you need to:
Obtain your API key in Perplexity AI
Before you create the connection in Make, you should first obtain an API key in your Perplexity AI account.
To obtain the API key:
Log in to your Perplexity AI account.
Click the Settings icon next to your username.
In the left sidebar, click API.
Enter the required information to create a new API group and click Save.
Enter your payment details.
This step will not charge your credit card. It just stores payment information for later API usage.
Go to the API Keys tab in the API Portal.
Click + Create Key to generate a new API key.
Copy the API Key value and store it in a safe place.
You'll use this value in the API Key connection field in Make.
Create the connection in Make
Once you have your Perplexity AI API key, you're ready to create the connection in Make.
To create the connection:
Log in to your Make account, add a Perplexity AI module to your scenario, and click Create a connection.
Optional: In the Connection name field, enter a name for the connection.
In the API Key field, enter the API key you copied from your Perplexity AI account.
Click Save.
If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access.
You've successfully created the connection and can now use the Perplexity AI app in your scenarios. If you want to make changes to your connection in the future, follow the steps here.
