Paylocity
With the Paylocity app in Make, you can manage employees and monitor new hires, employee changes, terminations, payroll, time-off approvals, and cost center codes in your Paylocity account.
The Paylocity app is only available on the Make Enterprise plan.
Requirements
To use the Paylocity app in Make, you must have a Paylocity account.
Connect Paylocity and Make
To get started, you must first create a connection between Paylocity and Make, allowing the two services to communicate.
To create the connection, you need to:
Request access to obtain client credentials
Before you create the connection in Make, you should first request access to obtain client credentias from Paylocity Web Services. For more information, refer to the Paylocity Web Services documentation.
You'll use these values in the Client ID and Client Secret connection fields in Make.
Create the connection in Make
Once you have your Paylocity client credentials, you're ready to create the connection in Make.
To create the connection:
Log in to your Make account, add a Paylocity module to your scenario, and click Create a connection.
Optional: In the Connection name field, enter a name for the connection.
In the Client ID and Client Secret fields, enter the client credentials that was provided by Paylocity.
Click Save.
If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access.
You've successfully created the connection and can now use the Paylocity app in your scenarios. If you want to make changes to your connection in the future, follow the steps here.
Set up a Paylocity webhook
The Paylocity app has instant modules—webhooks that watch for certain changes in Paylocity and immediately start your scenario when those changes happen. Webhooks are set up and maintained by Paylocity. To use these modules, you must request Paylocity to set up your webhook. For more information, refer to the Paylocity Webhooks documentation.
Once your webhook is set up, Make will be immediately notified and start your scenario when the selected change occurs in Paylocity.
