LinkedIn is an online professional networking platform. With the LinkedIn app in Make, you can manage the users, organizations, posts, and statistics in your LinkedIn account.
:::
::::

# Requirements

To use the LinkedIn app in Make, you must have a [LinkedIn account](https://www.linkedin.com/signup).

# Connect LinkedIn and Make

You can choose between two different connection methods:

- **LinkedIn**
- **LinkedIn (OpenID Connect)**
- Note: This connection method uses OpenID Connect for a secure and standardized way to manage user identities.

To create the connection:

Log in to your Make account, add a LinkedIn module to your scenario, and click **Create a Connection**.
:::

Optional: In the **Connection name** field, enter a name for the connection.
:::

Optional: Switch on **Show advanced settings** and add additional scopes and/or enter your [custom client credentials, and Developer Application URN](https://www.linkedin.com/developers/apps). For more information, see the [LinkedIn API documentation](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/linkedin/shared/authentication/authentication?context=linkedin%2Fconsumer%2Fcontext).

If requested, use the following Redirect URI when creating your custom app:

- **LinkedIn**: `https://www.integromat.com/oauth/cb/linkedin2`
- **LinkedIn (OpenID Connect)**:
- `https://www.make.com/oauth/cb/linkedin-openid`
:::

Click **Save**.

If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm the access.
:::

You've successfully created the connection and can now use the LinkedIn app in your scenarios. If you want to make changes to your connection in the future, follow the steps [here](https://help.make.com/connect-an-application#tN2pJ).

:::hint{type="info"}
If you encounter a `403: DataError - Not enough permissions to access` message, please wait up to 5 minutes and try running the module again. This delay occurs because it can take up to 5 minutes for permissions to be updated.
