Your account must be on the Hypergrowth plan (or above) to access the API key required for connection. # Connect Instantly and Make To get started, you must first create a connection between Instantly and Make, allowing the two services to communicate. To create the connection, you need to: ::::WorkflowBlock :::WorkflowBlockItem [Obtain an API key in your Instantly account](docId\:sXxIrIqr5ojMRczjErTNq). ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem [Create the connection in Make](docId\:sXxIrIqr5ojMRczjErTNq). ::: :::: ## Obtain your API key in Instantly Before you create the connection in Make, you should first obtain an API key in your Instantly account. To obtain the API key: ::::WorkflowBlock :::WorkflowBlockItem Log in to your Instantly account. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem In the upper right corner, click your account icon and choose **Settings**. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem Click** Integrations** > **Copy API Key**. Store your API key in a safe place. ::: :::: You will use this value in the **API Key** connection field in Make. ## Create the connection in Make Once you have your Instantly API key, you're ready to create the connection in Make. To create the connection: :::::WorkflowBlock ::::WorkflowBlockItem Log in to your Make account, add an Instantly module to your scenario, and click **Create a connection**. :::hint{type="info"} If you add a module with an ​instant​ tag, click ​**Create a webhook**​​, then ​**Create a connection**​​. ::: :::: :::WorkflowBlockItem Optional: In the ​​**Connection name​​** field, enter a name for the connection. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem In the **API key** field, enter the API key you copied from your Instantly account. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem Click **Save**. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access. ::: ::::: You've successfully created the connection and can now use the Instantly app in your scenarios. If you want to make changes to your connection in the future, follow the steps [here](docId\:SO88FM6pkT0G-adKDDfzZ). ## Set up an Instantly webhook The Instantly app has `instant` modules—webhooks that watch for certain changes in Instantly and immediately start your scenario when those changes happen. To use these modules, you must set up the webhook in your Instantly account. To set up the webhook: ::::WorkflowBlock :::WorkflowBlockItem Add an Instantly `instant`​ module to your scenario and click **Create a webhook​**​. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem Optional: Enter a name for the webhook in the ​**Webhook name​​** field. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem In the ​**Connection**​​ field, select a connection for the webhook. If you haven't created an Instantly connection yet, refer to the [Connect Instantly and Make](docId\:sXxIrIqr5ojMRczjErTNq) section above. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem Click ​**Save**​ > ​**Copy address to clipboard**​​. You'll paste this address in your Instantly account. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem Log in to your Instantly account. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem In the upper-right corner, click your account icon and choose **Settings**. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem Click** Integrations** > **Webhooks** > **Add Webhook**. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem In the **Add Webhook** field, add the webhook you copied from Make. ::: :::WorkflowBlockItem Choose your **Campaign** and **Event Type** and click **Add Webhook**. ::: :::: Your webhook is now set up.
