HubSpot CRM is a customer relationship management software that helps businesses track customer information and interactions. With the HubSpot app in Make, you can manage the events, records, contacts, engagements, files, and form submissions in your HubSpot CRM account.
:::
::::

# Requirements

To use the HubSpot CRM app in Make, you must have a [HubSpot CRM user account](https://app.hubspot.com/signup-hubspot/).

To use HubSpot CRM webhooks and a few other features, you must have a [HubSpot CRM developer account](https://app.hubspot.com/signup-hubspot/developers).

# Connect HubSpot CRM and Make

To create a connection to HubSpot, a Super Admin of your HubSpot account must [pre-approve the Make app](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/manage-access-to-apps). This requirement also applies to existing connections: if Make adds new scopes to the HubSpot CRM app, you must reauthorize the connection, and a Super Admin must approve the new scopes before reauthorization.

To create the connection:

:::::WorkflowBlock
::::WorkflowBlockItem
Log in to your Make account, add a HubSpot CRM module to your scenario, and click **Create a connection**.

:::hint{type="info"}
If you add a module with an instant tag, click **Create a webhook**, then **Create a connection**. For more information, see [Connect Hubspot CRM and Make using advanced settings](docId\:kmFYCisYnvpLBVofHYwHF).
:::
::::

:::WorkflowBlockItem
Optional: In the **Connection name** field, enter a name for the connection.
:::

:::WorkflowBlockItem
Click **Save**.
:::

:::WorkflowBlockItem
If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access.
:::
:::::

You've successfully created the connection and can now use the HubSpot CRM app in your scenarios. If you want to make changes to your connection in the future, follow the steps [here](https://help.make.com/connect-an-application#tN2pJ).

:::hint{type="success"}
**Custom scopes: **Make automatically requests a module’s required scopes from HubSpot when you create a connection. For the **Make an API Call** module, you select the scopes your endpoint needs in the module settings, in **Connection** > **Custom Scopes**. Once you add scopes to a connection, you can’t remove them. If you need fewer scopes, create a new connection.
