# Requirements

To use the Buffer app in Make, you must have a [Buffer account](https://login.buffer.com/signup?product=buffer\&plan=free\&cycle=year\&cta=bufferSite-globalNav-signup-1). 

# Connect Buffer to Make

To create the connection:

Log in to your Make account, add a Buffer module to your scenario, and click **Create a connection**.

Optional: In the ​​**Connection name​​** field, enter a name for the connection.

Optional: Switch on ​**Show advanced settings**​ and enter your Buffer client credentials. For more information on how to obtain your credentials, refer to the [Buffer documentation](https://developers.buffer.com/api/authentication/).

If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access.
