BambooHR is a HR software that helps manage employee data and HR processes. With BambooHR modules in Make, you can manage the employee, employee files, time offs, time off requests, and job summaries in your BambooHR account.

# Requirements

To use the BambooHR app in Make, you must have a [BambooHR account](https://www.bamboohr.com/signup/).

# Connect BambooHR and Make

To get started, you must first create a connection between BambooHR and Make, allowing the two services to communicate.

To create the connection:

Log in to your Make account, add a BambooHR module to your scenario, and click **Create a connection**.

In the **Connection type** field, select **BambooHR OAuth2**.

Optional: In the ​​**Connection name​​** field, enter a name for the connection.

:::WorkflowBlockItem
In the **Subdomain** field, enter the subdomain you use to access BambooHR.

For example, if you access BambooHR at `https://mycompany.bamboohr.com`, enter `mycompany`.

Optional: In the **Additional Scopes**, add any necessary scopes you may require.

Additional scopes are required for the **Make an API Call** module. For details, see the [BambooHR API reference](https://documentation.bamboohr.com/reference/account-information). Add scopes for every API call you will make with this connection.

Click **Save**.

If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access.
